For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor
angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (Amplified Bible)
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Jeremiah 31:3
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love theworld, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 1 John 2:15 (New Living Translation)
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37 (New International Version, ©2010)
You're cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn't care? The proverb has it that "he's a fiercely
jealous lover." And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you'll find. It's common knowledge that "God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble." James 4:4-6 (The Message)

I wonder what it would be like if God had a Facebook account. How many friends would He have? Would you add Him as one of yours? What would His friends post on His wall? How would you react if He “likes” your “Like this for a confession” status? How cool would it be to get a message from Him in your inbox? Or a birthday greeting posted on your wall? How often would He tag you? How many of your posts would He actually flag or delete? What comments would He have for your life drama? Would He be giving more of these :):) or these :(:( ? Wouldn’t it be great to have a nice chat with Him at the end of the day?
Funny how these thoughts came to my mind when I thought about the amount of time people spend on Facebook as compared to the amount of time they would spend with God on a daily basis. What drives us to constantly watch our FB account throughout the day? I suppose it is the need to have a connection with people, to hear and to be heard. God wants us to have a connection with Him, too. He desires for us to have a personal relationship with Him. He even calls us friends. In John 15:15, Jesus said, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” However, He also said in John 15:14 that, “You are my friends if you do what I command.”
How deep is your desire to be God’s friend? Like your FB friends, wouldn’t You want Him to share in Your everyday life, in your ups and downs, your joys and pains? He would love to be a part of every detail in your life. He’s sending you a friend request. Would you accept or ignore?
Prayer: Dear God, forgive me if I have ignored You a lot of times in my life. I am sorry if I have more time for Facebook than I have time for You. I know that You are always there and You see everything that is happening in my life but now I want to actually invite You to be a part of it. Thank You for being patient with me. I hope my relationship with You will grow more and more everyday. Help me as I commit my time and effort in this relationship, as I do with everything that is important to me. All these I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."
Psalm 107:1 (NIV)
"Give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God’s will for you
in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17 (NIV)
